Mayor's Youth Advisory Council

Applications for the 2018-2019
Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) are now being accepted!
The MYAC will convene on September 24, 2018.

The MYAC aims to provide a venue for a group of young leaders who, through research, peer discussion, and community engagement provide a youth perspective to City of Moscow and greater community.  The MYAC will be empowered to take on community-minded and supported projects. By serving on the MYAC, participants will learn about municipal government through engagement with the City of Moscow and will be provided the opportunity to gain leadership experience through a variety of opportunities.

The City of Moscow is committed to fostering youth’s ability to participate in decisions that affect them and the life of their community. Participation gives young people the opportunity to have a say about what is important to them, allows them to make their decisions about their contributions, increases self-confidence and skills, and empowers them to be a full and valued part of the community.  This leads to providing an experience that highlights the positive impact any person can make in their community and sphere of influence.
