Public Art Call for Artists: Vinyl Wraps
The City of Moscow Arts Department together with the Moscow Arts Commission are issuing this call for artist in order to create an opportunity for temporary public artworks. The traffic control boxes that are installed throughout Moscow and the public library book return box have created an opportunity for this temporary public art space. Five highly-visible locations have been selected for this run of vinyl art installations. This call for artist offers a location for displaying fine art in a public realm. Artists can work with a graphic designer or print specialist to take their fine art image and create a digital representation suitable for the vinyl wrap medium. This opportunity allows artists to take their original work and share it in a much larger format for the viewing public. The art pieces are expected to be up and on display for approximately three years. Application forms are available for download or can be picked-up at Moscow City Hall - 1st Floor. The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 25, 2015 by 5:00 p.m.
