I make my own stoneware and porcelain and mix my own glazes so I can create the effects I desire. I have been very influenced by early Chinese porcelains and more recently by the marvelous shapes and colours I saw while scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef. Most of my work is functional, tending to be abstracted in shape at times. I prefer very clean, delicate, finished lines and forms and want to explore in further depth the variations in form and colour that I am continuing to find in nature.
