City Council
A PUBLIC HEARING, PURSUANT TO IDAHO CODE 50-1003 for consideration of amending the budget for the Fiscal Year that begins October 1, 2016 and ends September 30, 2017, will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers, 206 East 3rd Street, Moscow, Idaho, on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of considering and amending the budget and making amended appropriations to funds for the stated fiscal year, at which time any taxpayer may appear and show cause, if any he has, why such proposed appropriations ordinance amendment should or should not be adopted. City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone desiring accommodations for disabilities please call the City Clerk’s office, 883-7015, at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing. The proposed amended budget for FY2017 is shown below.

City Council
Proposal to adopt new commercial single-stream recycling fee; increase of the residential utility deposit fee; change in rates for containers and solid waste processing facility fees and solid waste residential return service. Utility rate increases are being adjusted for water and sewer fees to capture the cost to deliver services and finance capital improvements. Parks and Recreation program fees adjusted based on program changes, and increases in the subdivision development tree fee and swimming pool admission fees. Increases are proposed for land use and development fees, and permit fees including building, grading, electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Other miscellaneous fee changes are included in fiber optic service license fees, adjustments to Farmers Market fees and water service disconnection fees. Some fees being considered may be new or will increase by 5% or more. The fee increases are due to the additional costs associated with the delivery of services including administration, operations and maintenance. The fee changes are available at City Hall for review.
