Yellow Dog Flats has been playing on the Palouse since
2009. They perform country blues, folk and Americana. The current
members are Gary Reed on guitar and vocals, and Tom Carroll on harmonica.
Henry C. Willard guest stars on guitar and Dobro when his touring schedule
allows. Their influences include The Band, Willie Dixon, and Neil
Young. The name of the band pays tribute to the train nicknamed “The
Yellow Dog” that rumbled through the flat lands of the South, home to some
great blues legends.
