Fall 2013 Art Workshops

The City of Moscow, the Moscow Arts Commission, and the 1912 Center & Heart of the Arts, Inc. have partnered to provide art workshops for children and adults this upcoming Fall 2013. These workshops provide not only a day of fun but an opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience in a variety of art fields.

These workshops include: Adventure in Canning with Rebekah Alexander; Colorful Printmaking with Nancy Attebury; and Drawing with Dana Aldis.

In Adventure in Canning students 18 years and older will learn the joy and fulfillment of preserving produce. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn many practical ways to prepare and preserve fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. Learn water-bath and pressure canning methods; how to make and can preserves, jams and jellies; how to lacto-ferment cabbage to make sauerkraut; as well as how to dehydrate foods and freeze foods.
