Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for September 30th

Join us Saturday, September 30th for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Live Performances: Live performances at Friendship Square will be provided by Palouse Jazz Project at 11:00 a.m.

Special Events: The University of Idaho, College of Agricultural & Life Sciences (CALS) will be by the clock in Friendship Square from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Visit their booth this Saturday for information about CALS research, teaching, and extension activities.

Chefs at the Market will feature A.J. Lane from Rants & Raves Brewery at 9:30 a.m. near the stage in Friendship Square. Join him as he creates a tasty recipe titled: "Palouse Vegetarian Lentil Chili".

The USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council will be near Friendship Square from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Visit their booth to learn more about their programs.

The Latah County Human Rights Taskforce will be by the bus stop in Friendship Square from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Visit their booth and learn about the work they are doing and their future projects.

The UI Chess Club will be hosting chess games on Friendship Square from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. enjoy a table game or our giant piece set.

Vendor of the Week: Springsong Farm from Moscow, Idaho. Product highlights include: grass fed lamb and felted wool items from their flock of Corriedale sheep. Springsong Farm is a new vendor of the Moscow Farmers Market.

Shop the Market with Backyard Harvest: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent, by the fountain in Friendship Square, to receive "Market Money" which vendors will accept for approved purchases.

WIC and SFMNP: The Moscow Farmers Market is accepting State of Washington WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) checks.

 

The Moscow Farmers Market loves all furry companions. For health and safety reasons, we ask that non-ADA service animals limit their visit to the Market to the pup-friendly path on the east or fountain side of Main Street or the south side of Fifth Street.
