In September 2021, the Moscow City Council approved the purchase of a police drug recognition dog to help assist with rising drug use in our area. The continued increase in illegal drug use and a rise in overdose incidents has made drug enforcement a priority for the police department. The police K9 is another tool used to help officers detect and investigate drug cases in our community.
We were excited to welcome K9 Ragnar to the Moscow Police Department family in May 27, 2022. K9 Ragnar and his handler, Cpl. Ryan Snyder, flew home after spending five weeks at the Vohne Liche Kennels in Indiana.
K9 Ragnar is a great addition to our team. If you see Cpl. Snyder and K9 Ragnur, be sure to say hello!
