Moscow Artwalk Cover Art Call for Artists

The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission are seeking submissions for the Artwalk 2019 cover art.

The opening receptions for Moscow Artwalk 2019 will be taking place on Friday, June 21, 2019. Artwalk celebrates the work of a local artist on the cover of each event’s brochure. Artists may submit up to 2 images of work to be considered for the cover art. All submissions must be new work or work created in the last two years that has not been shown in an art gallery, previous Moscow Artwalks, or other settings. The selected artist will be awarded $500 for purchase of the art piece. See the application for details. 

The application can be downloaded online or printed copies can be picked up from Moscow City Hall or the Moscow Chamber of Commerce.

2019 Public Art Call – Aquifer Mural

The City of Moscow Public Works Department and Arts Department are seeking qualifications from mural artists for a semi-permanent public artwork. The Water Filter Plant building has been selected for a mural installation on the highly-visible and busy intersection of Jackson and “A” Street. Artist(s) will have the opportunity to place a painted mural of our aquifer system, based on the image of the Generalized Geologic Cross Section Through Pullman and Moscow. The intention of this Project is to educate our citizens of the City’s water resource.

The total amount of funding available for this Project is not to exceed six thousand dollars ($6,000). Additional concessions are not offered (i.e. room and board, daily per diem, food, art supplies, scaffolding, etc….).
