The Community Events Division and Farmers Market Commission are accepting artwork submissions for feature on the 2023 Moscow Farmers Market poster. This annual opportunity invites artists to submit visual interpretations of this longstanding community event by 5 pm, Wed., Feb. 22. Up to five semi-finalists will be selected by the Farmers Market Commission for public voting, with the final artwork selected by the public.
Historically, this art call required artists to design a complete poster, including time, date, location, title of the event, and more. In 2020, the Farmers Market Commission adopted changes to the poster art requirements that now only requires artists to submit artwork with no accompanying text features. Text features will be added upon selection of artwork utilizing the Market's current design toolkit created in 2021 by local artist Julene Ewert. Color palette, font set, and program graphics for the Market are viewable here.
For requirements on eligibility and submissions and the selection process, visit the City of Moscow's Submittable page. Artists will need to create a free Submittable account in order to participate in this and other arts and culture opportunities offered by the City.
