Building Code Advisory Committee

The Building Code Advisory Committee (BCAC) evaluates all technical codes which come before the City including, but not limited to: building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire and life safety codes. It was originally established in 1984 as the Technical Code Review Committee and then revised in 1992.

BCAC acts in an advisory capacity to the Administrative Committee of the City Council. Members of the Committee are appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Council and is comprised of nine (9) members serving three (3) year terms.
