Employee Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

The City of Moscow is committed to paying employees fairly. Our philosophy is to remain competitive with regional rates for like positions and we survey our salaries on a regular basis to ensure we’re meeting that commitment. New employees with limited experience are typically hired at the the starting rate assigned to grade of their position, however if increased experience warrants it, starting rates may be higher.

Other coverage includes annual contributions to employees through a robust Voluntary Employee Benefit Account Plan, options for Flexible Spending Accounts for both medical and childcare expenses as well as a free Employee Assistance Program.
