In order to be effective and successful, the Comprehensive Plan must be a “living” and dynamic document. Community decision makers rely on the Plan and, therefore, periodic reviews and amendments must be made to keep the Plan current.
Over the last 18 months, the Planning and Zoning Commission, with input and advice of other City Commissions, undertook a mid-term revision of the 2009 Comprehensive Plan to update statistics and other data. This update also recognizes the completion of the water, sanitary sewer and transportation plans, reflects completed implementation actions since the 2009 adoption, and incorporates additional information, goals and objectives related to changing global climate conditions. Their work is reflected in the Draft Chapters below.
The Moscow Planning and Zoning Commission hosted an open house on October 24th to allow the public an opportunity to learn more about the Comprehensive Plan update. If you weren't able to attend the Open House, posters describing the Plan revisions are on display in the lobby at City Hall, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, through November 23rd. Brief comment card are provided near the posters, or submit your thoughts in writing to Mike Ray, Planning Manager at 221 E. Second Street, Moscow, Idaho, or by email to email@example.com.
