2018 Completed Construction Projects

Third Street Reconstruction – Polk to Hayes, Phase II
Included in this project will be reconstruction of Third Street from Monroe Street to Polk Street.  Reconstruction will include pavement replacement with under-drains and replacement of waterline, storm sewer infrastructure and sanitary sewer.  Pedestrian curb ramps at intersections will also be replaced to comply with ADA requirements.  The timeline for this project is mid June to September.
THIS PROJECT IS NOW COMPLETE.  

Third Street & Jackson Sidewalk Replacement
This project consists of removing and replacing concrete sidewalk, curb, tree wells and lighting.  Concrete pavers will be installed together with new historical style luminaries along the north and west frontage of 129 W. Third Street. The approximate timeline for this project is September to October.
THIS PROJECT IS NOW COMPLETE.

Third Street Corridor Multimodal Improvements
This project consists of implementing a dual east/west bike lane on the north side of Third Street beginning at Third and Jackson Street heading east to Mountain View Road. There will be additional bulb outs added for pedestrian safety and three raised cross-walks for speed regulation, as well as median dividers.  The timeline for this project is late summer to early fall.
PHASE I OF THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETE. PHASE II OF THE PROJECT IS SCHEDULED TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN 2019, WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION OF THE DUAL EAST/WEST BIKE LANE. 

5339 Grant Shelters – 2018
The project will incorporate the installation of six pre-manufactured shelters (bus & bike).  Construction will include trash receptacles, bicycle racks and repair station and a bench. The timeline for this project is from July to September
THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETE.  

Paradise Path Underpass & Multimodal Extension
This project consists of the extension of Paradise Path from Styner Ave / Highway 8 to the Latah County Fairgrounds. A new ten (10') foot wide shared-use path will be constructed along the north side of White Ave along with an underpass at Highway 8 connecting the new pathway extension to the existing Paradise Path. The timeline for this project is late June to late September.
THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETE.   

Slurry Seal – 2018
The project consists of applying an Asphalt Slurry Seal Coat (Type II) to multiple roads within the City of Moscow.  Slurry Seal is a thin layer of fine rock mixed with asphalt that is applied to the road sealing the surface.  This application reduces surface wear and extends longevity of the road. Maps showing the areas of impact will be published once finalized.  The current timeline for this project is mid to late June through mid July.

White Avenue Water Main Replacement – 2018
This project will include construction of new water main, new storm water infrastructure and reconstruction of the westbound lane road base along White Avenue from Blaine Street to Highway 8.  The project timeline is mid-May to late June.

Idaho Transportation Department Concrete Grinding Project - 2018
Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will be carrying out a Concrete Grinding Project on Jackson Street (US 95) between W. C Street and Eighth Street, in Moscow, beginning on June 25th and continuing through mid-August.

ITD’s contractor for this project is Acme Concrete Paving, Inc., of Spokane.  Acme will use a concrete pavement rehabilitation technique to grind and repair concrete slabs on Jackson Street and reseal the joints.
