The Fair and Affordable Housing Commission was created to research, analyze and recommend to the Mayor and Council ways in which the City may further fair housing practices and affordable housing practices.
The Farmers Market Commission Policies Subcommittee members serve as the initial revisionists of the Market Handbook. This Subcommittee works with Market staff to suggest, and update policies while ensuring policies are in line with Market operations. They are primarily active in the Fall and Winter.
The Historic Preservation Commission works to promote the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the public of the City through the preservation and protection of buildings, sites, monuments, structures, and areas of historic importance or interest within the City.
Mayors Conference Room
The Public Works/Finance Committee meets to consider matters concerning public works activities, solid waste issues and financial matters.
The Council is the legislative and judicial arm of Moscow's City government; enacting ordinances and resolutions. This body confirms the Mayor's appointments of City officials including department heads, and the City Supervisor, as well as commission members. The Council approves the City's annual budget and serves as the convening body for public hearings and appeals of other City Boards and Commissions.
The Committee considers matters related to administrative affairs of the City, including those regarding the following departments: Community Development, Fire, Human Resources, Legal, Parks and Recreation, and Police
The Agency’s purpose is to undertake the rehabilitation, conservation, development or redevelopment of areas identified by the City as being in the best interest of the public health, safety, morals or welfare of its residents.
Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center
The Planning and Zoning Commission was created to make recommendations to the Council regarding matters involving maps, plats and re-plats, rezone and annexations of land.
The Commission is charged under Moscow City Code to provide advice and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding; intermodal transportation issues, how to implement transportation goals and objectives of the Moscow Comprehensive Plan, and advise on transportation needs of future City development.
