Change your clocks, change your batteries!

Clocks and Batteries

We recommend changing smoke alarm batteries twice per year, so what better time than when we fall back and spring ahead! When you change your clocks this weekend, consider replacing any 9V batteries in your smoke alarms as well. Fires can start when you least expect them, and proper smoke alarm maintenance could make a difference when seconds matter.

This is also a great opportunity for your monthly smoke alarm test, and to replace any smoke alarms over ten years old. Don't forget to also check the placement of your smoke alarms: we recommend one on each level of your home, and one inside and outside of each bedroom.
