IS Manager

The City of Moscow is seeking an experienced Information Systems Manager to supervise, direct, support, and mentor the information systems staff, currently consisting of 4 employees.  The Manager will also regularly monitor performance and provide coaching for performance improvement and development.  This position is responsible for an annual budget of $3.9 million to include operational responsibilities as well as current projects such as upgrades to existing SCADA and NextGen systems and public safety radio infrastructure and software upgrades.

Under the direction of the City Supervisor, the Manager will plan, organize and direct activities of the Information Systems Division.  This position is responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance and security of the City of Moscow information systems network, including all servers, network devices, communication devices, workstations, and software applications, in addition to providing technical and operational support to network and computer users; and supervising maintenance, updates and safeguarding of software applications.

 A combination of education and experience is required, including graduation from an accredited four-year college or university or comparable experience. Additionally, five (5) years of increasingly responsible related experience in information systems is required.  Also, the ability to pass a criminal history background check.

Starting annual salary is $85,774 up to $90,819+ DOE.  The City offers a benefits package that includes paid health, dental, vision and life insurance. Additional benefits include an annual Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association Health Reimbursement Account or Health Spending Account contribution, Flexible Spending Account, supplemental life, and other supplemental voluntary medical options. The City provides paid sick and vacation leave; eleven paid holidays per year and inclusion in the Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). The City of Moscow is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
