Basic Function
Under the direction of the Parks Supervisor or a Senior Parks Maintenance Worker, perform grounds maintenance duties; including maintaining City parks, playgrounds, greenways, paths, ball fields, and all other vegetation and landscaped areas, as well as, routine maintenance of assigned tools and equipment.
Perform a variety of duties in maintenance, repair, turf care, and janitorial. Work to include but not limited to assisting with construction, ballfield maintenance, equipment operation and repair, irrigation installation and repair, weed control, and grounds/building maintenance of city parks and facilities. Specialized tasks to include pesticide application and tree work. The city is willing to assist in the obtainment of an Idaho pesticide applicators license and City of Moscow tree worker certification.

Equipment operation and maintenance including mowing and small engine equipment as well as City vehicles.
Throughout all City parks, grounds, and playfields complete mowing, trimming, tree trimming, planting, turf maintenance, shrub bed maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Throughout all City parks, grounds, playfields, etc., perform a variety of duties in maintenance, repair, custodial, waste management and operation as assigned.
Assist with irrigation repair.
Assist with sports field preparation and maintenance such as chalking, painting, infield skin maintenance, pitcher’s mound maintenance, etc.
As assigned work shifts to provide these essential functions at the Moscow Farmers Market and Moscow Community School District Playfields.
