While Mountain View Road is now open to the public, construction on Sixth Street Bridge continues to progress. Construction is scheduled to continue through fall with the goal of opening the improved bridge for public access with a temporary surface in December.
As the bridge project advances, residents are asked to be aware that the section of Sixth Street from the new Mountain View Road roundabout to Park Drive will be closed to thru traffic. During this time the public is encouraged to use Seventh Street to Park Drive, and Third Street to Blaine Street, as a detour. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause but appreciates the public's patience as these necessary upgrades are made.
Completion of the Sixth Street bridge is anticipated in Spring of 2023.
