Phase II of a planned improvement project for the Almon - Asbury Alley from Sixth Street to First Street is scheduled to begin Monday, May 22nd. The purpose of the project is to replace existing storm and sanitary utility lines and fully surface the block form Sixth Street to Third Street with asphalt.
During the project, most of the work will occur within the alley however, residents can expect road closures, detours, and possible delays near this location. This will include both Sixth Street and Third Street. Local access for residents and businesses will remain open as much as possible during construction however, the City is asking residents to utilize parking on Almon or Asbury as much as possible as access to the alley will be intermittent. The City appreciates the public’s patience as these necessary repairs and upgrades are made to the infrastructure.
This project is scheduled for completion in August 2023.
ADA accessibility is a top priority for the City in all projects. If this project, or any other City project is found to be impacting anyone’s ability to access public services, please email ejaccessibility@ci.moscow.id.us or call 208-883-7600.
Every effort will be made to adhere to the contractor’s daily schedule; however, unforeseen circumstances may require adjustment. For questions about the project, including the project schedule or concerns about resident access, please contact the City of Moscow Engineering Division.
