September 25, 2020 (Moscow, Idaho) -- Due to demonstrations anticipated to occur during Moscow Farmers Market Hours on Sep. 26, which officials expect will draw large crowds of attendees who have stated they will not comply with City of Moscow Amended Public Health Order 20-03, which requires that individuals maintain a minimum of six feet of social distance while in public planes, and to wear a face-covering when the six foot social distance cannot be maintained. Because of concerns for a potentially hostile situation, the Moscow Farmers Market will be canceled for this Sat., Sep. 26. This closure is specifically due to significant public safety concerns.
The City of Moscow shares its sincere thanks to the many weekly shoppers and patrons who have visited the Market each week and complied with the Amended Public Health Order 20-03. This cooperation has allowed the annual weekly event to remain open and as successful as can be under COVID-19 concerns.
The City of Moscow has not made this decision without considerable thought and is saddened to cancel this beloved event.
The Motor-In Moscow Farmers Market will take place as regularly scheduled and planned to accommodate orders already made and purchased earlier this week.
