October 29, 2020 (Moscow, Idaho) -- The International Society of Arboriculture has honored Moscow Parks and Recreation’s Dave Schott as the 2020 Arborist of the Year for the Pacific Northwest. A few of his many successes include spearheading the new Harvest Park project, achieving annual designations for Moscow as Tree City USA and Growth Awards, and working alongside the Tree Commission where they’ve made planting trees in Moscow popular and fun again.
Schott was honored for his excellent performance and professionalism especially with the resource limitations of a small city, caring deeply for Moscow’s community forest’s health, and his continual positive influence to the livability of the Moscow community.
The award was presented at the 2020 “We Are the Champions Award Ceremony,” which was held virtually on Oct. 21.
