March 30, 2021 (Moscow, Idaho) — Construction began Tues., Mar. 30, 2021, on the Indian Hills Water Line Improvement Project.
This water-line improvement project will replace and upsize the existing 6-inch water-line with a new 8-inch water-line. The line will extend south from the Indian Hills Dr. and Northwood Dr. intersection and east along Indian Hills Dr. to the Astrik St. intersection. The replacement will also continue north on Astrik St. The City will also replace a portion of the water main from the intersection of Nylarol St. and Pine Cone Rd. approximately 300 ft. north. New water laterals will be installed to service new fire hydrants and the existing water meters servicing the residential properties. Additionally, the City will install a new water-line from Indian Hills Dr. down to the future booster station north of Southview Ave., and the new Moscow Police Station. These water line improvements and the new booster station construction this summer will help improve fire flow, water quality, and add redundancy and reliability to the area's water distribution system.
The City of Moscow has contracted with Germer Construction of Moscow, Idaho, to complete this project. This construction project is funded by the City Capital Water fund and is scheduled to be completed by late spring / early summer.
Citizens are asked to be aware of road closures, detours, and possible delays near this location. We appreciate your patience as we make necessary repairs and upgrades to the City's infrastructure.
