June 29, 2021 (Moscow, Idaho) — The 2021 Seventh to Sixth Street Sanitary Replacement project will begin on July 6, 2021, and is expected to be substantially completed by Aug. 27, 2021.
The Seventh to Sixth Street Sanitary Replacement consists of all of the necessary work to remove and replace the sanitary and storm sewer mains located in the alley connecting Sixth St. and Seventh St. between 113 East 6
th St. and 609 South Washington St. The work will include upgrading the deteriorating sanitary sewer pipe, replacing an aging storm sewer system, and repaving the alley.
The City of Moscow has contracted with Germer Construction Inc., to complete this project.
During the project, citizens are asked to be aware that there will be a temporary street and sidewalk closure of Sixth St. from Main St. to Washington St. for the entirety of the project duration. The City of Moscow appreciates the community’s patience as these necessary repairs and upgrades to the City’s infrastructure are completed.
While every effort is made to adhere to the daily schedule, unforeseen circumstances may require an adjustment. For questions about the project including the project schedule or concerns about resident access, please contact Cameron Lee in the City of Moscow Engineering Division at 208-883-7013.
