August 17, 2022 (Moscow, Idaho) — The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission announced the opening of the registration period for the fifth edition of the MACtivities Toolbox.
This Toolbox features art supplies and curriculum designed to engage youth art makers with drawing skills. Toolboxes are available at no cost, and include a guidebook with vocabulary and techniques, lesson cards for various ages, and art supplies needed to complete the activities. The curriculum is aligned with National Core Arts Standards and is focused on learning art elements, principles, and techniques.
The fifth edition MACtivities Toolbox curriculum was developed by Shanti Scutt-Norman, a lifelong artist and art educator. Norman describes her approach to artmaking: “To me artmaking involves not only development of skill but an exploration of self and the world around you. My creative practice includes exploration of materials, a focus on things and people I love, and expression of thoughts and emotions that cannot be described with language.”
The MACtivities Toolbox program is produced by the City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission with support from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Registration closes on Tuesday, August 23 at 5 p.m. or once all Toolboxes have been reserved. To reserve a Toolbox, visit: https://moscowarts.submittable.com/submit
