May 3, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) — Safe Routes to School will hold its annual “Fill the Racks” events on Wednesday May 9th, 2018 which is also National Bike to School Day. Approximately 2,000 students from ten Moscow Schools, kindergarten through high school, will participate along with parents, teachers and community leaders and over University of Idaho students and athletes.
Biking is a fun and healthy way for children to get to and from school. May is national Bike Month and this event is one of many to get involved in. Please see

Students are encouraged to wear helmets for safety and bright clothing for visibility. Help your student plan a safe route to their school. Recommended routes to your school showing completed sidewalks and marked crosswalks are available at

All Moscow residents are asked to drive with extra caution in a school zones to help accommodate the high volume of children walking and biking to school on this day. The Moscow Police Department will offer additional safety patrol at school sites.
