MVFD Student Resident Volunteers

Thank You to our Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Student Residents

Another successful school year is behind us and the City of Moscow would like to recognize the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department student resident volunteers!
These full-time student volunteers live at one of the three fire stations in Moscow and respond to fire and EMS calls during the school year. We appreciate their dedication and everything they do for our community, the MVFD, City of Moscow and University of Idaho.

Congrats and best wishes to the graduating seniors, and to those residents we’ll see next year, enjoy a safe and fun summer break!

Keep your Vehicle and Property Safe

Summer has arrived! Historically, the summer months bring a rise in vehicle burglaries. The Moscow Police Department, in keeping with their goal to reduce property crimes in Moscow, would like to remind residents to lock unattended vehicles.  It is also recommended that  all valuables be removed from vehicles to eliminate easy targets for would-be thieves.

Anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious or has concerns regarding vehicle break-ins or related property crimes are asked to contact MPD  immediately.

We thank our community members for their continued partnership in keeping our
community safe!

Utility Bill AutoPay Notice

The City of Moscow would like to inform all AutoPay customers of the potential variability of when individual AutoPay payments are processed.

Utility bills are due by the 20th of each month. The City is, however, unable to control the exact day and time various banks process these payments. AutoPay customers can expect the timeframe of when funds are withdrawn from their accounts to range from two business days before the 20th, to two business days after the 20th. This is affected by the day of the week the 20th falls on and how each bank processes those transactions. With AutoPay, the City does provide the assurance that payments, regardless of the date processed by the bank, are accepted as on time. Customers are encouraged to contact their bank for more information on when their payments may be processed.

If this variability in payment dates creates an issue for any AutoPay customer, they are encouraged to visit or to call the Moscow Finance Department at 208-883-7043 to learn about other options available for bill pay.
