Storm Drain Educational Mural Art Installation

May 24, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) -- On Saturday, May 26th, a storm drain educational mural will be installed by artist Sam Caisley on the sidewalk at 5th and Main Street (in front of the Prichard Art Gallery). The installation will begin at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to take from 5-6 hours to complete.

As part of the City of Moscow’s efforts to communicate the function of the City’s storm sewer system and its connection to local streams, the artist has been selected to install murals at two storm drain locations downtown. The second installation of storm drain educational mural art will be on Friday, June 15th starting at 3:00 p.m. also by artist Sam Caisley and will coincide with the Moscow Artwalk and the Public Works Gallery on Main.

For more information about the storm drain educational mural project, future installation locations, and ways to become a featured mural artist contact Ty Thompson, Environmental Services Group Coordinator, at (208) 883-7111 or tthompson@ci.moscow.id.us.
