Palouse Plein Air 2018 - Save the Date
August 8, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) -- Calling all painters! Save the date for the ninth annual Palouse Plein Air.
What is Plein Air?
French for “in the open air” used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Plein air competitions are all about painting outdoors in a specific area or region and then having those paintings exhibited in an art gallery.
This multi-day painting competition begins September 15, 2018 and runs through September 21, 2018! The competition is open to artists 18 years-of-age or older. All painting mediums are welcome! The entrance fee is $20 per participant or $15 per University of Idaho / Washington State University / Lewis-Clark State College student participant. The entrance fee includes: registration in the competition and an invitation to the Artist Reception / Awards Ceremony on September 21, 2018.
Work turned in (maximum 3):
Participants are to deliver a maximum of 3 finished entries framed and ready to hang on September 21, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Prichard Art Gallery in the Children’s Education Studio (414 South Main Street).
Reception and awards ceremony:
September 21, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
