August 13, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) — On Monday, September 10, 2018, at approximately 8:40 a.m., the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 100 block of Baker Street in Moscow, Idaho.
No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries to tenants or responding personnel. The fire was located in the 2nd floor of a 4-unit apartment building and appears to have originated in the kitchen area. The fire was confined to one apartment on the 2
nd floor and resulted in heavy damage to the kitchen area with additional smoke and heat damage throughout the apartment. The apartment directly below the unit suffered light water damage and all other units had some smoke in the apartments.
Responding units to the incident included the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department, Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Company, Moscow Police Department and Avista Utilities.
The fire is currently under investigation and is considered to be accidental at this time.
