City of Moscow to Participate in
Palouse Bike Week

September 14, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) —  The City of Moscow is proud to join regional partners for this year's Palouse Bike Week.  Palouse Bike Week features a week of cycling events across the Palouse from September 17th through the 22nd.

City of Moscow events include the Moscow Pathways Commission Annual Pathway Tour on Tuesday, September 18th at 5:15 PM.  The tour will begin at the Intermodal Transit Center on the University of Idaho Campus at 1006 Railroad Street (parking permits not required after 5 p.m. in the adjacent lot).  From there, bikers will travel east along Paradise Path with stops at Berman Creekside Park, the site of the bicycle pedestrian underpass currently under construction at White Avenue/Styner Road and Highway 8, Blackbird Station and ending at Alturas Park at 1241 Alturas Drive with light refreshments.  The entire route is 2 miles over mostly level terrain with an estimated travel time of 8 minutes without stops.  All are welcome to enjoy this free, fun event, courtesy of Moscow Parks and Recreation and the Moscow Pathways Commission.

Palouse Area Bike Show

Also hosted by the City of Moscow, AmeriCorps, and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce is the Palouse Area Bike Show on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Moscow Farmers Market. Palouse area bike shops and clubs are invited to table and bring their bikes to show off at the Market downtown. There will be kids’ activities including a bike skills stations, a safety check station, and a bike decorating station. The event will close with a Parade through the Moscow Farmers Market, ringing the closing bells, for any kids who want to show off their newly decorated bikes.
