Moscow Police and Fire Investigate Donated World War II Memorabilia as Potential Live Land Mine

September 27, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) — City of Moscow Police and Fire officials responded to the Goodwill Industries building at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in response to a potential bomb concern. What is expected to be a World War II era land mine type device was received at the store. The Spokane bomb squad has been called to investigate the object which is anticipated to be inert. The area around the Goodwill building to include Deranleaus, Belleview Health, Planet 3, and portion of the La Quinta Inn was initially evacuated and secured as a precautionary measure. At this time access to the surrounding businesses has been restored, only the Goodwill building remains secured until the final determination of the nature of the device is made.
