October 16, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) — The City of Moscow is currently designing improvements for Mountain View Road to improve traffic flow and enhance safety near the City’s east boundary. Partners in this project include the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) and Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC). This proposed project includes widening the roadway from 24-feet to 36-feet between Joseph Street and East Sixth Street, with a new roundabout at Mountain View Road and East Sixth Street. Other improvements include left-turn bays at the Mountain View Road/Joseph Street intersection; enhanced storm drains and lighting; and bike lanes, curb, gutter and sidewalks along Mountain View Road. Construction is expected to start in 2022.
