Residential Structure Fire - A Street; Moscow, Idaho

November 23, 2018 (Moscow, Idaho) — On November 22, 2018 the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department and Moscow Police Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 300 block east A Street in Moscow, Idaho. The home suffered significant damage to the attic and upper level. The residents evacuated with no injuries, and are staying with family.
The City of Moscow and Moscow Volunteer Fire Department responded at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday the 22, clearing the scene at 9:30 p.m. It is suspected that the fire originated in the chimney of the two story home and spread into the attic of the house.
The fire flared again in the early morning hours requiring additional response. Crews arrived on scene at 4:30 a.m. and remain on scene at this time, expecting to clear within the hour. The flare up began on the second floor of the home and is suspected to have been the result of the home being older with many hidden spaces within the structure.
