City of Moscow Sanitation Department - Dumpster Access

March 8, 2019 (Moscow, Idaho) —  The City of Moscow Sanitation Department is reminding customers with dumpsters to keep access to these dumpsters clear of snow and ice at all times. This is especially important in the downtown alley areas. Dumpsters in the downtown alleys are required to be wheeled out and turned to the side before they are serviced by a front loading truck. Snow and ice berms make this task impossible in many cases. It is every customer’s responsibility to keep snow and ice cleared from in front of their dumpster to assure service as regularly scheduled. Latah Sanitation is making every effort to collect overflow, by hand and as time allows, where dumpsters are blocked in by snow and ice. As temperatures warm up this week, City of Moscow Street crews are applying de-icing materials to the downtown alleys in an attempt to promote the melting process.
