May 15, 2019 (Moscow, Idaho) — Join the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council on Saturday, May 18 to honor our community’s First Responders.
In honor of International Firefighter’s Day (May 4), Public Service Recognition Week (May 6-10), National Police Week (May 12-18) and National EMS Week (May 19-24), the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is taking a moment to say thank you to the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department, Moscow Police Department, and other first responders.
Students on the advisory council will host a free thank-you brunch to first responders from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Council Chambers at Moscow City Hall, 206 E. Third Street in Moscow. Representatives from the Fire and Police Department will share their stories and experiences on what it means to be a first responder and serve our community.
This event is free and open to the public. Students are encouraged to attend.

10:00 a.m. – Doors open
10:15 a.m. – Welcome and Introduction from Mayor Bill Lambert
10:30 a.m. – Guest speaker Justin Goodwin of the Moscow Volunteer Fire
Department
10:45 a.m. – Guest speaker Officer Caleb Struble of the Moscow Police
Department
11:00 a.m. – Q&A and meet and greet with Moscow Youth Advisory Council and
First Responders
The Thank You brunch features contributions and donations from the Kitchen Counter, Moscow Food Co-op, Rosauer’s, Safeway, and Walmart.
