June 6, 2019 (Moscow, Idaho) — The first phase of development at Itani Park will begin on the week of June 10th and will prepare for the installation of a playground for 2-12 year-old children. The new playground at Itani Park will include swings, slides, sections for climbing, and a rubber tile safety surfacing.
This phase of the construction will include contracted earthwork and concrete pouring which will prepare the pad for the playground and a pathway leading from Itani Drive to the play structure. The final phases of the development will be completed this season. The City of Moscow parks crews will install the tile safety surface and play structure before finishing with the installation of turf and an irrigation system.
In June 2018 City Council approved the purchase of equipment for the playground at Itani Park which was recommended by the Parks and Recreation Commission. The selected design received the majority of votes during a public input period held the previous month.
Itani Park is located to the west of the intersection of Itani Drive and Rolling Hills Drive.
