July 5, 2019 (Moscow, Idaho) — The first phase of development at Lola Clyde Park began this week to prepare for the installation of a fully accessible playground for children ages two to twelve. This phase of the construction will include earthwork and concrete pouring, which will prepare the pad for the playground and a pathway to the play structure. The new playground at Lola Clyde Park will include ramps, swings, slides, spinner, and a rubber tile safety surfacing.
In March 2019, City Council approved the purchase of equipment for the playground at Lola Clyde Park, which was recommended by the Parks and Recreation Commission. The selected design received the majority of votes during a public input period held the previous month.
The final phases of the development will be completed this season. Moscow Parks Crews will install the tile safety surface and play structure. Additionally, the installation of turf and an irrigation system will be completed this season.
Lola Clyde Park is located to the northeast of the intersection of north Polk Street and Rodeo Drive.
