August 8, 2019 (Moscow, Idaho) — The City of Moscow Parks and Recreation Department recently purchased three aquatic wheelchairs, thanks to donations provided by Stepping Stones, Inc. and Gritman Medical Center. Each aquatic wheelchair is equipped with safety features including a seat belt, anti-tip wheels and brakes.
Join Mayor Bill Lambert and guests for the Aquatic Wheelchair Debut on Wednesday, August 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center, located at 830 N Mountain View Road. Admission to the event is free, though if you choose to stay and swim please pay the daily fee at the ticket booth before entering.
Aquatic wheelchairs will be available for use at the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center's activities pool free of charge for patrons needing assistance beginning August 14 following the Debut.
