Moscow Farmers Market - Programming for Saturday, September 28

September 25, 2019 (Moscow, Idaho) -- Join us Saturday, September 28, for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May through October and features fresh produce, meat, homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Shop the Market with Backyard Harvest: Patrons receiving EBT or SNAP benefits are encouraged to visit the Backyard Harvest tent to participate in our Shop The Market program. Located by the clock and fountain in Friendship Square, patrons receive tokens to purchase fresh produce and other eligible items from vendors enrolled with this program.

WIC and SFMNP: Select Moscow Farmers Market vendors accept State of Washington WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) checks. Checks may only be used to purchase fresh vegetables, fruit, and cut herbs. Seniors are eligible to also purchase honey.

Bicycle Benefits: The Moscow Farmers Market now offers a Bicycle Benefits incentive. Shoppers may purchase a Bicycle Benefit sticker for $5 at the Information Tent. Bike to the Market each week to receive an incentive. Show the sticker on your helmet to City Staff at the Information Tent and earn a $2 wooden token. Tokens may be used to purchase from Market Vendors.

Chess At the Market. Vandal Chess Club will have table games and a large set with 25" pieces ready for play. Test your skills or learn a new one.

Bell Brigade. Bell Brigade provides an opportunity for local youth groups, clubs, and organizations to ring the opening and closing market bells. Groups performing this community service are eligible to host an information tent at the market the day they participate in the Bell Brigade. For more information or to sign up for Bell Brigade, contact the Community Events Division at 208-883-7233 or farmersmarket@ci.moscow.id.us.

The Moscow Farmers Market loves all furry companions, but only Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service animals are permitted in the main thoroughfare with their owners. Emotional support animals are not covered by the ADA and are not permitted in the main thoroughfare with their owners. For health and safety reasons, we ask that all pets and non-ADA service animals limit their visit to the Market and if need be may utilize the pet-friendly sidewalks adjacent to Main Street and Fifth Street.
