The Moscow Farmers Market is accepting music applications for the 2020 season! This application will be open until February 2, 2020. Any applications received after the deadline will be added to our wait list, and may be invited to perform if a show becomes available during the season. This application is only for the scheduled performances in Friendship Square. If you are interested in busking, please visit https://www.ci.moscow.id.us/212/Live-Music instead.
The Market is a popular Moscow tradition that was established in 1977. The Saturday morning event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Music is such a wonderful component to our Market and is loved and enjoyed by the citizens of Moscow and Market vendors. The Moscow Farmers Market is a family friendly event.
After submitting this form, we may contact you about additional performance opportunities with the Moscow Farmers Market and the City of Moscow.
We promote each performance to our 6,000+ Facebook followers, in our monthly newsletter, and wherever else we can! Please describe your act for these promotional opportunities. (max 260 characters)
Please select at least three dates you are available to perform.
The one-hour performance from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. is non-paid, however tip jars and CD sales will be allowed in lieu of payment. The two-hour performance from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is a paid performance, and the pay schedule is as follows: $50 for a soloist, $100 for a duet, $150 for an ensemble. Paid performers will need to submit a signed contract and W9 form prior to their performance. The market does not reimburse travel expenses for performers.
Our sound system consists of two loudspeakers, two monitor speakers, several vocal and instrumental microphones, and a mixer with 18 available channels. If any additional equipment is needed, the performer is responsible for providing it. You are welcome to use your own sound system if preferred. We also have two 10’ x 10’ tents which you can stand under in case of inclement weather. We do try and have you play rain, snow, or shine! If you have CDs you are welcome to sell them and you may put out a tip jar.
Please keep the following in mind when planning your musical selection / performance: • No swearing • No aggressive, lewd, or inciting language or behavior will be allowed before, during, or after your performance • No alcohol • No overly loud, full volume, or max limit music is allowed, per the Noise Ordinance found in title 10, chapter 11 of the City Code • Be on time. • We reserve the right to cancel any performance.
