Moscow Farmers Market Performance Application

  1. The Moscow Farmers Market is accepting performance applications for the 2020 season! This application closed February 2, 2020, but we are still accepting applications our wait list. Waitlisted performers may be invited to perform if a show becomes available during the season. This application is only for the scheduled performances in Friendship Square.   2. The Moscow Farmers Market has been a treasured and vibrant part of the community since its inception in 1977 as a small grass-roots gathering. This Saturday event celebrates local farmers, artisans, and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Music is such a wonderful component to our Market and is loved and enjoyed by the citizens of Moscow and Market vendors. The Moscow Farmers Market is a family friendly event. After submitting this form, we may contact you about additional performance opportunities at community events.

    1. Payment

      The one-hour performance from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. is non-paid, however tip jars and CD sales will be allowed in lieu of payment. The two-hour performance from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is a paid performance, and the pay schedule is as follows: $50 for a soloist, $100 for a duet, $150 for an ensemble. Paid performers will need to submit a signed contract and W9 form prior to their performance. The market does not reimburse travel expenses for performers.

    2. Sound System / Equipment / Set-Up

      Our sound system consists of two loudspeakers, two monitor speakers, several vocal and instrumental microphones, and a mixer with 18 available channels. If any additional equipment is needed, the performer is responsible for providing it. You are welcome to use your own sound system if preferred. We also have two 10’ x 10’ tents which you can stand under in case of inclement weather. We do try and have you play rain, snow, or shine! If you have CDs you are welcome to sell them and you may put out a tip jar.

    3. Rules of the Moscow Farmers Market

      Please keep the following in mind when planning your musical selection / performance: • No swearing • No aggressive, lewd, or inciting language or behavior will be allowed before, during, or after your performance • No alcohol • No overly loud, full volume, or max limit music is allowed, per the Noise Ordinance found in title 10, chapter 11 of the City Code • Be on time. • We reserve the right to cancel any performance.

    4. Application Deadline

      Please submit applications by February 2, 2020. Performance dates sometimes become available if scheduled musicians are unable to perform, so any applications received after this date will be added to our waitlist.
